Step Up Youth Initiative is proud to collaborate with the Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP), a powerful movement uniting civil society organizations, social movements, and individuals worldwide in the fight against poverty and inequality. Through our partnership with GCAP, facilitated by Action for Sustainable Development (A4SD), we actively contribute to building a more just and equitable future for all.
A Shared Vision for Change:
GCAP aligns perfectly with Step Up Youth Initiative’s commitment to empowering young people to be agents of positive change. Together, we work towards:
- Elevating People’s Voices: GCAP provides a platform for marginalized communities, including youth, to have their voices heard and influence policy decisions related to poverty eradication.
- Promoting Social Justice: We advocate for policies and solutions that address the root causes of poverty and inequality, ensuring a just and inclusive future for all.

A Platform for Global Action: The Global People’s Assembly
A significant outcome of our partnership is our joint organization of the annual Global People’s Assembly, facilitated by GCAP. This international gathering brings together activists, policymakers, and stakeholders from across the globe to discuss solutions and strategies for overcoming poverty and achieving the SDGs.
Through our involvement in the Global People’s Assembly, Step Up Youth Initiative has:
